What are the rules regarding buying Baccy here?

I am trying to get a clear picture about the rules here for buying / trading tobacco.
I would pay for leaf if I could just find the darn stuff. I know that there have to be a lot of guys on the board that would love to sell some but the rules seem to be against buying and selling on the board. I see some guys trade stuff here (seeds and such) and I would offer to do some trading but I have nothing I think they would be interested in.
Is it o.k. for people to P.M. me with info on tobacco for sale?
My email address is public here can poeple write me off the board?

I have been trying to find some whole leaf that is not smoke cured and not 'cigar leaf' like sold at Otoao Cigars. I prefer the sweetness and bouquet of Virginians and Orientals.
My search for whole leaf has gone on for over 2 years because I cannot grow out of doors here (my land lord has steep rules about any plants in the yard other than his 'xerascaping') and in my home I have two overly curious cats that turned my attempts at growing in containers into cat boxes (yuck).

I get 'natual leaves' brand strip tobacco and it is a darn good tobacco however it is in very small pieces so it is unsuitable for my desire to roll  cigars from whole leaf Virginia and Oriental.

I hope I am not breaking any rules with these questions and if I am please make that clear so I can kill this post.

Slightly confused

You can ask if anybody wishes to sell you some but have them PM you so the rest of us don't have to see any deals being done.

This is a Grow YOUR own website afterall.

Do not PM me asking questions that you could ask on the Forum. I'm in New Zealand and don't know what the best tobacco is for the rest of the world.

Thank you so much for the information. Where on the board would you suggest that I make that post? Given that you have been kind enough to give me the information, I would like to handle it discreetly.

Many thanks

You can grow as much as you like (as long as its for personal use) but, unless you are a registered trader and pay duty, you cant sell it.

Bounty, in most states in the US you can sell seeds, live plants and unprocessed whole leaf without paying the tobacco taxes. Not sure about where you're at though.
