There are 220 plants and the two rows on right are new plantings that i hit with dose or miracle grow has i did with others.

Seems they almost double in size every hot and humid day.

Looks good. Baccer likes hot.humid weather especially hot, humid nights.
That is a steep hill alright. Up in the mountains someone would set a trailer up on it.

Thanks George and Lonnie
Gotta a quickie for you guys.I not only live on a steep slop but also notice sweating on the leaves in the wilting stage of full hot sun.Is this too much stress for the plant? It seems to be only one variety that i planted(bought them here but lost track of the plants over time)this variety whatever it is will not allow water droplets to form on it like the others and sweats in the sun.
Seems to come back fine later in the day though.
P.s George no new cutworm problems Thanks again

Never seen one sweat but who knows . If it's green and growing I wouldn't fix it lol . Plus some wilting is very normal in a baccer plant thats growing fast .
So long as it is Green , Growing and perks up in the evening you are fine .

Well the baccie is going to get a good test today.Temps in the mid nineties with no wind or clouds.
Bought a cheapy soil test kit just to prove to a coworker that sandy soil is alkaline. It read high on ph(alkaline) and also phosphorous and potash.
Nitrogen was very low but the plants seem fine.
Plan to get a professional evaluation with a kit from the extension office this afternoon if the plants aren't smoked by the sun by then

Not sure but it may just be blistered from dew and or water on the plant while the hot sun is shining on it. We see that now and then in the baccer fields here but it usually doesn't amount to much damage. Could also be from just to much moisture in the soil.
As long as that bud in the top lives it will make baccer. Very seldom will those bottom leaves make it until haevest anyhow.
