Ed, I think Lonnie said that home grown chewers prefer a dried greener leaf. Check with him as I may have got that wrong.

my Havana plant leaves all dried green, do I need to 'kiln' to get them nice and brown?  they are still in the rafters now.

Hi, You need to bring them back into case (moist but not wringing wet) and let them dry slowly, very slowly. If you have to mist them every day then do it, in my experience, it's possible to get the green out but not if they are dry. You can use a kiln, but I would still bring them into case before I put them in the kiln. I don't use a kiln so I don't know if it will work the green out, but I did work the green out of some leaves by keeping them moist and letting them dry very slowly.
